Handle an Incoming Call

Incoming calls with WiLine UCaaS appear similarly to a native call on your device, providing a familiar interface for managing calls.

Ensure that WiLine UCaaS notifications are enabled on your device to receive incoming call alerts even when the app is in the background. Visit the Start Here section and follow the instructions under Setting Permissions to configure push notifications.

To handle calls on an iPhone, enable Native Integration:

  • Go to (Menu) > Settings > Preferences, scroll down, and toggle Native Integration:

Silence Incoming Calls (iPhone)

Press the device's power or volume buttons to silence the ringtone without answering the call.

Answer a Call with WiLine

When WiLine is Active (Foreground or Background):

  1. Tap the option that best fits your response:

    • Accept: Answer the call.
    • Decline: Dismiss the call.
    • Forward Call: Forward the call (available on macOS and desktop).
    • Remind Me: Set a reminder to return the call later (on iPhone).
    • Message: Send a quick reply (on iPhone).

When the Device is Locked (iPhone):

  1. On iPhone, slide the phone icon to the right to answer.
  2. To silence the ringtone, press the power or volume buttons.

WiLine UCaaS will initiate the call when you unlock your device and tap the icon.


Handle a Second Incoming Call

On macOS (and desktop), simply click (Answer Call) to automatically place the first call on hold and accept the new incoming call, or (End Call).

On iPhone:

  • End & Accept: End the current call and answer the new call.

  • Decline: Dismiss the new call and continue the current call.

  • Hold & Accept: Place the current call on hold and answer the new call.

  • Remind Me: Set a reminder for the new call.

Swap Between Calls

If you have two active calls, you can swap between:

  • Tap

    (Answer) on macOS to hold the first call and connect you to the second call.

  • Tap

    Swap on iPhone to place the current call on hold and connects you to the other call.

By following these steps, you can seamlessly manage and navigate multiple calls with WiLine UCaaS, ensuring smooth and efficient communication on both macOS and iPhone.
