Use Siri for Messaging

WiLine UCaaS integrates with Siri, enabling you to send IM (Instant Message), as well as search through your messages hands-free. Siri works whether WiLine UCaaS is in the foreground, background, or when your iPhone is locked.

First-Time Setup​

The first time you use Siri with WiLine UCaaS, you will need to grant permission for Siri to access your WiLine UCaaS data. Make sure the contact you wish to message is saved in your WiLine UCaaS Contacts to use their name for messaging.

Send Messages Using Siri​

You can use Siri to send messages to a specific contact or phone number.

Steps to Send a Message:​

  1. Activate Siri:

    • Press and hold the Home button on your iPhone or iPad.

  2. Voice Commands:

    • Ask Siri:
      • “Send text to [contact name] using WiLine UCaaS”
      • “Text [phone number] using WiLine UCaaS”
      • “Send message to [contact name] using WiLine UCaaS”
      • “Send text message to [phone number] using WiLine UCaaS”

    WiLine UCaaS will send the IM text to the intended contact or number.

Search Messages Using Siri​

You can search your messages by sender or recipient name, by specific text, by a date range, or by message status (old or new). Currently, Siri does not support searching for multiple names, messages from unregistered buddies, or names within group chats.

Steps to Search Messages:​

  1. Activate Siri:

    • Press and hold the Home button on your iPhone or iPad.

  2. Voice Commands:

    • Ask Siri:
      • “Find messages from [contact name] on WiLine UCaaS”
      • “Read my messages from [contact name] on WiLine UCaaS”

    WiLine UCaaS will search your IM and SMS messages and present the results.

Remember that the initial setup requires permission for Siri to access WiLine UCaaS data, and ensure your contacts are properly saved in the app for easy messaging.
