New Provisioning Feature for Streamlined Device Setup
We’re excited to introduce our new Remote Provisioning System (RPS) feature, designed to simplify and streamline the setup of VoIP devices. By enabling users to pre-configure devices before deployment, the RPS system ensures a hassle-free user experience.
What Does It Do?
The RPS system allows admins to input device details, such as MAC address and serial number, before shipment to the end-user. Upon the device’s initial boot-up, it automatically connects to its pre-assigned configuration server, making it ready for use right out of the box.
Read more about the RPS integration here.
Why This Matters
The RPS configuration offers several key benefits:
- Efficiency Boost: Minimizes manual phone setup time and reduces errors.
- User-Friendliness: Devices arrive pre-configured, eliminating setup stress.
- Cost-Effectiveness: Minimizes setup costs and ensures seamless deployment.
How It Works
Setting up new devices as easy as 1-2-3:
- Pre-Configuration: Admins enter the device information, such as the MAC address, serial number, and model details, into the RPS system.
- Redirection: Upon powering on, the device automatically connects to the RPS server and retrieves its configuration.
- Ready to Use: The device is fully configured and operational, requiring no additional manual setup.
What’s Next?
The RPS provisioning system is now available for all supported devices, including models from Yealink and Grandstream. Stay tuned for expanded compatibility and additional features to further enhance the provisioning process.
The RPS feature reflects WiLine's commitment to provide innovation, efficiency, and exceptional experiences to our users.
